Apolo Ohno returns to Winter Olympics as analyst

Apolo Anton Ohno is hanging up his skates to join NBC's coverage of the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
The most decorated U.S. Winter Olympian in history will work as an analyst on speedskating, in addition to doing features and studio commentary during the network's coverage in February.
Ohno recently retired without fanfare, although he hadn't competed since the 2010 Vancouver Games. He won eight medals in three Olympics.
He first worked for NBC at last year's Summer Olympics in London. In June, he started hosting a new version of "Minute to Win It" on the Game Show Network.
Ohno says he may also contribute to NBC's coverage of Alpine skiing and snowboarding in Sochi, Russia.
NBC also announced that Al Michaels will be hosting daytime Winter Olympic coverage. Michaels has worked the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
“We are excited to have two Olympic icons in their own right on board to play an integral role in our Sochi coverage,” Jim Bell, executive producer of NBC Olympics, said in a news release. “Al’s historical perspective and expertise will serve as a foundation for NBC Sports Group’s live daytime coverage, while Apolo will bring a fresh off-the-ice and pop culture perspective.”
