These seven, recently released cookbooks could give you the steps and recipes you need to have a grill-tastic summer, whatever your tastes or skill level may be.

4. Guy on Fire by Guy Fieri

'Guy on Fire,' by Guy Fieri (William Morrow Cookbooks, 342 pp.)

Guy Fieri of Food Network fame rings in the grilling season with “Guy On Fire: grilling, tailgating, camping, and more!” His grilling cookbook, with Ann Volkwein, is a vast array of recipes separated into themes: Backyard Bash, Extreme Tailgating, At the Lake, Campground Cookin’, and Holiday Cookout.

Fieri may be known as a master of bad-boy sass, but he’s also a family man, and it shows – the cookbook is chock full of kid-friendly recipes that the whole family will enjoy, as well as pictures of his own brood chowing down while enjoying the outdoors.

Fieri provides not only recipes for the main event – bone-in double-cut pork chops with brie and apples, bacon wrapped hot dogs with spicy relish – but also accompaniments and sweet recipes to make a full meal. Impulsively ambitious amateurs won’t be left scrambling for sides and desserts! With delicious complements like pimiento cheese stuffed jalapenos, roasted spiced cauliflower with chickpeas, roasted poblano skillet cornbread, and blueberry and peach cobbler, Fieri shows he certainly is a talented chef all around.
