This movie combines some of the dark humor of Monty Python troupe member Terry Gilliam and a family adventure, featuring a young boy and a band of dwarves traveling through time. The group interacts with multiple historic figures through their adventures, meeting Napolean, Robin Hood, and even surviving the sinking of the Titanic. The plot can be hard to follow at times, but the bigger entertainment comes in watching the scenes in the film that deposit the boy and his time traveling friends into different episodes in history.
