Before a collection of Disney princess films dominated animated features in the late 1980s and 1990s, and before “Ratatouille” captured rodent-loving filmgoers, another small mouse shared an important story about America immigrants. The movie features the story of Fievel Mousekewitz, who immigrates to the US in the 1800s to escape the confines of Russia and its Czarist ruling cats. He learns about life in America, which includes friends and foes, and opportunity abound. This 1986 film was the first animated feature produced by Steven Spielberg.
