Born on Dec. 21, 1986, Camera is the adopted daughter of legendary tennis player Arthur Robert Ashe Jr. and photographer Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe. Camera was named in honor of her adopted mother’s profession.
Mr. Ashe won three Grand Slam titles, ranking him as a World No. 1 professional tennis player and the first black man ever to win singles title at Wimbledon, the US Open, and the Australian Open. He was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in 1979.
