Georgina Haig: Can you see her as Elsa, the 'Frozen' queen, for 'Once Upon a Time'?

The part of Queen Elsa, originally from the Disney animated movie “Frozen,” for the ABC TV show “Once Upon a Time” has gone to actress Georgina Haig, according to TV Guide.
It was earlier announced that “Greek” actor Scott Michael Foster will portray ice salesman Kristoff on “Once” and actress Elizabeth Lail will be playing Anna, Elsa’s younger sister, according to TV Guide.
Haig, an Australian actress, previously starred on the Fox science fiction drama “Fringe” and is now on "Reckless," which is currently airing on CBS.
The character of Elsa seemed to be introduced in last spring’s season finale of “Once” when the end of the episode featured a blonde woman in a blue gown who could shoot ice out of her hand – certainly a match for the “Frozen” queen.
However, while new characters on “Once” like the Wicked Witch of the West and Peter Pan have often been villains, executive producer Edward Kitsis told TV Guide, “[Elsa] was never a villain,” while executive producer Adam Horowitz said, “The thing we loved so much about that movie, among a million other things, was that Elsa was misunderstood.”
The introduction was also an interesting twist because Elsa’s character, as well as those of Anna and Kristoff, are so new compared to the others on “Once” such as Snow White and the boy who never grew up. However, Elsa is based on the title character from “The Snow Queen” by Hans Christian Andersen.
Elsa was voiced by “Wicked” star Idina Menzel for the film, while “Veronica Mars” actress Kristen Bell was behind the voice of Anna and “Glee” actor Jonathan Groff handled the vocal part for Kristoff. The movie also starred “The Book of Mormon” actor Josh Gad as snowman Olaf.
“Frozen” won Best Animated Feature Film at this year’s Oscars and the hit song sung by Elsa, “Let It Go,” took the Best Original Song prize.
“Once” returns for its fourth season this fall.
