Brown, who holds the record for getting the most singles on the Billboard Top 100 chart but never getting a No. 1 hit, is a singer-songwriter and plays piano and drums, and other instruments. Brown's success has spanned many genres, including R&B, funk, and blues. He is known today for songs such as "Please, Please, Please," "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag," and "It's A Man's Man's Man's World."
