"Once" actor Kazee, who won the award for Best Performance By An Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical, became emotional during his acceptance speech as he talked about his mother, who he said died on Easter Sunday of this year, and how his cast supported him. "They carried me around and made me feel alive," Kazee said. He ended his speech by mentioning how his mother always told him to "stand up and show them whose little boy you are" before shows. "And I am here to tell you I am the son of Kathy Withrow Kazee," he said.
