Details of the plot have been almost nonexistent, but so far, fans know that it was originally planned as a prequel to the sci-fi classic "Alien." Now no longer a prequel, it takes place in the same universe as "Alien," and Rapace, Fassbender, Theron, and others play a group of explorers who stumble onto what may be the answer to the origin of the human race.
