The so-called smart watch is what some technology analysts believe could become this year's must-have holiday gift.

Samsung is the big dog in the Android game, and now they have released a smart watch in hopes of conquering this trend. The Galaxy Gear is the newest smart watch on our list – unveiled in September and available for retail in October – and boasts some of the newest features. The device has voice sensitive technology called S Voice, which allows you to control the functions of the watch with your voice. This includes making and answering phone calls, drafting texts, creating calendar alerts, among other options. There is also a 1.9 megapixel camera in the strap, plus two microphones, which allow you to take photos and videos.

Though the Gear has the most technology to date, early reviews say it has a low battery life, likely due to the many features it offers. We’ll see how it holds up as other smart watch manufacturers jump into the race.
