If you’re considering getting an Android phone, many reviewers suggest that you stick to Google’s official brand of Nexus phones. They often get the latest Android updates first, don’t come gunked up with unwanted software, and offer a "pure" Android experience. Pretty soon, the same Nexus rule might apply to tablets as well.

"In the next six months we plan to market a tablet of the highest quality," Google chairman Eric Schmidt told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sea, according to the UK Telegraph. Schmidt didn't get into too many specifics, but as the Monitor reported back in December, his promise aligns neatly with a long-simmering rumor in the tech world: That Google is working with LG to create a Nexus tablet.
