New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg agrees with a judge who threw out a summons issued to a Bronx man wearing low-slung pants that exposed his underwear.
The billionaire mayor said Thursday the government has no business telling people what they can wear.
He says he is not the style police.
On April 20, a real New York police officer ticketed Julio Martinez for wearing his pants low.
Judge Ruben Franco threw it out last month, saying it appeared to be an attempt by one police officer to show his displeasure with the style.
The judge said people can wear what they want as long as they do not offend public order and decency.
