Clint Eastwood Chrysler Super bowl commercial: Facebook fans respond

If you didn’t see it aired on TV during halftime of the Super bowl Sunday, you’ve likely heard about it by now: The Clint Eastwood Chrysler commercial. Pat Kohli Are the clouds pro-Obama? Is this some sort of Rohrshach test? Clint Eastwood is a lifelong Republican, and has been an icon of American Exceptionalism; of course the ad plays on patriotism to sell US cars with a wee bit of subtlety contrtasted with "Buy American!"

William E. Fielder A true "Humanitarian", he live's as he acted and direct's with feeling's in the role's he played. A straight shooter and he'll make your "DAY".

Rhen Blais Clint is a registered Republican, and served as mayor of Carmel, CA as a Republican. He never mentioned the word, "Chrysler," either, just Detroit.

Michael Obrecht Don't really know Clint's politics, and don't care. He has developed a reputation as a man with integrity, and I see no reason to doubt it. This ad was about Americans coming together, putting aside our differences and working together to climb out of this hole. It was only pro-Obama in the sense that that is precisely what he has been talking about since his campaign started. It is only anti-Republican to the extent that they, in general, and the Tea-Party Republicans in particular, have been doing everything they can to keep us at each others' throats during the same period.
