Ten surprising jobs with six-figure salaries

You don't always need an advanced degree degree in order to make more than $100,000 a year. According to Glassdoor, a jobs and recruiting site, here are ten lesser-known occupations that earn a substantial salary. Can you guess which occupation is more lucrative than the rest? 

7. Drilling engineer

Drilling engineers oversee drilling operations and guide oil companies to safe and economical areas in which to dig. Engineers will then oversee the completion of  digging projects. Drilling engineers often have a degree in either chemical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering. According to Bakken, a subsidiary of the Energy Media Group, drilling engineers are often in high demand among oil and gas companies.
