Forbes has released its annual billionaires list, and nestled among the usual suspects were women who have made or helped make their own fortunes, in industries ranging from television to real estate to clothing. These are the nine richest self-made women on Forbes 2013 Billionaires List.

With her late husband, Kenneth, Ms. Hendricks co-founded ABC supply, the largest wholesale distributor of roofing, window, and siding materials in the US. Headquartered in Beloit, Wis., the company has 500 locations and employs approximately 5,800 people. Hendricks also oversees commercial property and several smaller companies via Hendricks Holdings Co., with dealings in manufacturing plants and pharmaceutical research. She lives in Afton, Wis., and has seven children.
