Danielle Tarantola got 18 years to spend with her Lhasa Apso, “Trouble,” but it wasn’t enough. So after Trouble died in 2008, the unemployed Wall Street broker had the dog cloned in South Korea, then watched the birth of “Double Trouble” via webcam. At $50,000, “Double Trouble” was actually a bargain; cloning dogs, which is only available in South Korea, usually costs upwards of $100,000. Tarantola, however, got a discount after agreeing to appear on the TLC television special “I Cloned My Pet,” which aired in January.
