James Franco is cast in Stephen King's '11/22/63'

Franco will reportedly play an English teacher who travels back in time to try to stop the Kennedy assassination.

A famous actor has been cast as the lead in the upcoming TV adaptation of Stephen King’s novel “11/22/63.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, James Franco of “The Interview” will play protagonist Jake Epping in the Hulu adaptation of King’s novel.

As we previously reported, the series will be nine hours long and Bridget Carpenter of “Parenthood” is adapting the book for the small screen. 

The novel tells the story of an English teacher who goes back in time to try to stop the Kennedy assassination. 

Franco recently directed a film adaptation of “The Sound and the Fury” as as well as “As I Lay Dying” and has also starred in such films as “This Is the End” and “Oz the Great and Powerful.”
