The film adaptation of Ransom Riggs’s bestselling young adult novel “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” may have gained some cast members.
As we previously reported, the film, which centers on a teenage boy who discovers a group of children with mysterious powers, is being directed by Tim Burton of “Big Eyes.”
And now, according to Deadline, Eva Green of “Penny Dreadful” is set to star as Miss Peregrine and “Ender’s Game” actor Asa Butterfield is also appearing in the film. Samuel L. Jackson of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is in negotiations to act in the movie.
The film will be released in March 2016, according to Deadline.
Riggs released a sequel to “Peregrine,” “Hollow City,” in 2014 and a third book, titled “Library of Souls,” will be released this September, according to the writer’s Facebook page.
