Will the bestselling “Dork Diaries” series soon be coming to a theater near you?

Summit Entertainment recently acquired the film rights to the kids’ series by Rachel Renée Russell, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“Diaries” centers on eighth-grader Nikki Maxwell, who tells her diary about the goings-on at her middle school.

“Summit Entertainment bringing 'Dork Diaries' to life is a dream come true!” Russell said in a statement. “My fans and I are super excited to see Nikki Maxwell and her dorky world come to life.”

Producer Karen Rosenfelt, who was behind the “Twilight” and “Percy Jackson” films, is in talks to produce, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
