'Anchorman' director Adam McKay will helm an adaptation of Michael Lewis's 'The Big Short'

“Anchorman” director and writer Adam McKay will reportedly helm a film adaptation of Michael Lewis’s book “The Big Short,” according to Deadline.

According to Deadline, McKay will write the script for the film, which will be released by Paramount Pictures and the production company Plan B, as well.

“Adam McKay is a singular voice and talent and a ferocious mind – the vector of Adam and this book is what a producer dreams of,” Plan B said in a statement.

Lewis’s book centers on the origins of the 2008 financial crash and was first released in 2010.
