Vintage Books re-releases novels that were the basis for classic films

The new Vintage Books imprint, titled Vintage Movie Classics, re-released such novels as 'Show Boat' by Edna Ferber.

Edna Ferber's novel 'Show Boat' was recently re-released by Vintage Movie Classics.

Publisher Vintage Books will reissue books that were the basis for classic films beginning this spring through a new imprint titled Vintage Movie Classics.

Four such titles, “Show Boat” and “Cimarron” by Edna Ferber, “Back Street” by Fannie Hurst, and “Alice Adams” by Booth Tarkington are being released this month. “Show Boat” and “Cimarron” are already available, while “Street” and “Alice” will be released on March 25.

Other upcoming titles that will be released by the imprint include “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir” by R.A. Dick and “The Bad Seed” by William March.

The books are being released in paperback and e-book form.
