ABC has reportedly ordered a pilot for a TV series adaptation of Lily Koppel’s book “The Astronaut Wives’ Club.”

“Club,” which was released this past June, follows the wives of the men involved in America’s space program, from the small club of those who were married to the Mercury Seven to the later expansion of the group as more and more astronauts joined NASA.

Publishers Weekly called the book “[an] entertaining and quirky throwback… this is truly a great snapshot of the times.”

The pilot of “Club” is being produced by “The Illusionist” producer Michael London and “Gossip Girl” creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, according to Deadline. Savage is writing the pilot.
