Natalie Dormer will play Cressida in the 'Hunger Games' films

Natalie Dormer has reportedly signed on to play filmmaker Cressida in 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1.'

Natalie Dormer – best known for playing Margaery Tyrell on 'Game of Thrones' and Anne Boleyn on the TV show 'The Tudors' – will appear in an upcoming 'Hunger Games' film.

Game of Thrones” actress Natalie Dormer has reportedly been cast as Cressida, a film director who helps empower a rebellion against the government, in the “Hunger Games” films.

In the books, Cressida films heroine Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and others to create propaganda clips which are used to give hope to the rebels rising up against the government of the fictional country of Panem. Dormer will first appear in the role in the “Mockingjay” films. (Collins’ novel “Mockingjay,” the last in her trilogy, is being split into two films).

The first part of “Mockingjay” will arrive in November 2014.

Dormer plays Margaery Tyrell, the current fiancé of King Joffrey, on the HBO series “Game of Thrones” and previously starred as Anne Boleyn on the Showtime program “The Tudors.”

The next “Games” film, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” is due to be released this November.
