Reader recommendation: The Cat Who Sniffed Glue

Monitor readers share their favorite book picks.

I have recently become interested in Lilian Jackson Braun’s series of books about “The Cat Who.....”  They are light-hearted stories of two amazing Siamese cats and their owner, Jim Qwilleran, former journalist and now heir to a fortune, who solve mysteries. The cats never do anything the author has not seen her own cats do.... She kept notes for years. The first book appeared in the 1960s. I am up to The Cat Who Sniffed Glue. It's nice to read them in the order they were written because there is a story behind the stories. Being a cat lover myself, these books help me appreciate my own Siamese!
