Reader recommendation: Little Lord Fauntleroy

Monitor readers share their favorite book picks.

I just finished Little Lord Fauntleroy by Frances Hodgson Burnett. This is the book that almost everyone has heard of, but which almost no one has read. It is likely (to my great surprise) the best well-written, quick-read, feel-good book which has ever absorbed me. The characters are Dickensian (when Dickens was in a good mood), but you can read about them with much less effort. The book can be had in ebook format for next to nothing.
