Reader recommendation: The Yellow Tutu

Monitor readers share their favorite book picks.

A children's book, The Yellow Tutu, by Kirsten Bramson (text) and illustrated by Carin Bramson came to my notice. The story is based on Kirsten's actual experience. Carin's illustrations are an absolute delight. The story captures the joy and imagination of a young girl as well as the overcoming of hurtful teasing challenges by some classmates. This book is worthy of praise.
