It is the story of how Abigail, due in part to her tortuous relation with husband Bronson, provided inspiration and insight for Louisa's writing. Each time Bronson summoned a new dream, Abigail, despite misgivings, resolved to do all in her power to make it come true. The subtext is the story of delusions about one's spouse and repeated failure to identify roots of those delusions.
