1 Breakfast at Tiffany’s, by Truman Capote

The novella, told through the eyes of Holly Golightly’s neighbor Fred, is very different from the iconic Audrey Hepburn film. It reveals a 1943 New York of casual racial slurs and young women living like modern geishas. Michael C. Hall is a sublime reader, imbuing each character with the appropriate regional accent and capturing the longing and sadness Truman Capote wove throughout the text. Keep this one – you will want to hear it again someday.
