Debut author Maum's novel is the story of an artist named Richard, who is married but longs for his mistress, who recently left him. When his wife finds out about his indiscretions, he decides to try to make his marriage work and win her over by creating a new piece that shows he is still the man she married. "It's clever without being cutesy," Nelson said of the novel.
