Once again, Pulitzer Prize-winner Doris Kearns Goodwin finds her way into both an intriguing chapter of American history and the workings of the human head and heart. The Bully Pulpit focuses on the relationship between Theodore Roosevelt and the president who succeeded him, William Howard Taft. The two men moved from the warmest of friendships to a nasty split over policy differences, augmented by the machinations of an army of aides and a highly aggressive press corps.
