11. 'The Rosie Project,' by Graeme Simsion

Scientist Don Tillman, the protagonist of debut author Simsion's novel, has determined that it's time for him to get married, so he sets out to find a marriage partner, using a strict set of requirements. When he meets a woman named Rosie, she meets none of them, but sparks fly when the two set out on a quest to find Rosie's father. "He's this guy who does everything through data," Nelson said of Don. "She's the exact wrong person, so of course she's perfect for him."
