Moriarty, the author of works including "What Alice Forgot," explores how protagonist Cecilia Fitzpatrick's life changes when she finds a letter written by her husband meant to be opened after his death. The revelations within affect two other women as well, which brings them together. "It's a comedy of manners on one level," Nelson says of the novel. Moriarty is "so funny," says Nelson, but at the same time "there are real moral questions at the center."
