Speak carefully if your boss asks you to do something you're uncomfortable with. For example, if you are in charge of documents that record transactions with a German company, and they are all in German and your boss says to sign off on them because it's too expensive to hire a translator, open with something like, "I remember in my orientation session that they said specifically that we must fully understand every document we sign. Can you help me understand how this assignment follows that rule?"
