Currently on its second volume, this long-awaited series collects the comic strip adventures, which started in 1930, of our favorite mouse. The strips are written and illustrated by Floyd Gottfredson, who, like Barks, was loved and admired long before he stepped out from behind "‘Walt Disney." This Mickey is a total action hero going up against some nasty villains, such as Peg-Leg Pete, in exotic locales ranging from desert islands to haunted houses to spooky castles. This series is for all ages as well (but there are some racial stereotypes here, too).
