2. Harry and the Potters and others

One of the more unexpected forms that Harry Potter fandom took was the formation of various bands which write original songs about the events of the Harry Potter books or about original events that involve the characters. The most well-known of the bands, Harry and the Potters, formed in 2002 and perform such songs as "Save Ginny Weasley," "The Yule Ball" and "My Teacher is a Werewolf." The group continues to tour.
