Many presidents have enjoyed recreational swimming, including Theodore Roosevelt, who supposedly swam in Rock Creek in Washington, D.C. when there was still ice in the water, and Ronald Reagan, who worked as a lifeguard early in his life, reportedly saving 77 lives.
