3. 'Bleak House'

Part of a string of recent critically acclaimed mini-series of Dickens' novels made by the BBC, the mini-series "Bleak House" debuted in 2005 with "X-Files" star Gillian Anderson as Lady Dedlock. Dickens' novel, with its scathing view of the legal system, is adapted in all its complexities in this version. Keep an eye out for star Carey Mulligan, most recently seen in "Shame" with Michael Fassbender, as one of the orphans, Ada, who may inherit a fortune.
