Elizabeth had various maids of honor attending her as she got ready before her official coronation, helping her put on the heavy red robe and adjust the 18-foot train. The young queen-to-be also had her horse Aureole running in the Derby days after the coronation. "You must be feeling nervous, ma'am," one maid of honor said to her before the coronation. "Of course I am, but I really think Aureole will win," Elizabeth replied.
