Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

Elizabeth and Philip visited the Reagans' California ranch in 1983, the queen's first time on the West Coast. The ranch is at the top of a partly-paved road with tight turns, few guardrails and long drops, but the queen didn't appear bothered. At the ranch, the queen and Philip had a Mexican meal with the Reagans, with enchiladas and refried beans. "That was so enjoyable," the queen remarked later. "Especially the used beans."
