Monika Rębała

Monika Rębała has been the Monitor's Warsaw correspondent since 2013. She holds master's degrees in history and international relations from University of Warsaw. Monika was a staff writer for the Polish edition of Newsweek magazine for six years, where she covered developing countries and Europe. She has reported from the Western Sahara, Cameroon, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and Turkey, among others.

She regularly writes for Gazeta Wyborcza, Poland's biggest daily newspaper, and she contributes to the Polish edition of Bloomberg Businessweek. She is also the Warsaw correspondent for Vox Pop, a television newsmagazine about European politics that airs on Franco-German channel ARTE.

Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.
