Erin Douglass wears two Monitor hats – the fedora of contributing book reviewer since 2021 and the visor of copy editor since 2023. She tries not to wear them simultaneously, because that would look funny.
Erin has called many places home including Los Angeles, the Hudson Valley in New York, southern Germany, and Seattle. She’s currently based in Eugene, Oregon.
She holds a B.A. from Pomona College, where she majored in language, culture, and gender and spent a semester studying in northwest India. Before working with the Monitor, she held editing and writing positions in the book publishing, legal, and financial worlds.
