Erika Page is a staff writer for the Monitor, where she began by writing the weekly Points of Progress franchise. Now based in Madrid, she is focused on human stories that shine light on trends shaping the global economy.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Political Economy and Development Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. That took her to rural Brazil for two months of ethnographic fieldwork, where she first began to love journalism without realizing it. She speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and passable Swedish.
You can reach her at pagee@csmonitor.com or +34 604 19 91 20 on WhatsApp.
