South Africa quietly holds talks with Mozambique

White-ruled South Africa and black Marxist Mozambique have held their first official talks in several years, but officials from both countries were tight-lipped last weekend on what they discussed.
Foreign Minister Roelof ''Pik'' Botha, who attended similar secret talks with Angolan officials Dec. 7 led the South African delegation at the northeastern border town of Komatipoort. ''Matters of mutual interest were discussed'' was all the Department of Foreign Affairs would say about the talks.
