NATO ministers reaffirm aim to deploy A-missiles

Ignoring a Soviet charge that their decision would increase the risk of accidental nuclear war, NATO defense ministers reaffirmed their intention to deploy cruise and Pershing II nuclear missiles in Europe.
In a meeting of NATO's Nuclear Planning Group, the ministers also welcomed President Reagan's decision to deploy 100 MX intercontinental ballistic missiles in a dense pack in Wyoming. The defense ministers turned their attention Wednesday to a study of the East-West military balance in a meeting of NATO's Defense Planning Committee.
