Lebanese President says he'll give detainee lists

Lebanon's President Amin Gemayel has promised to give Western envoys lists of all people detained during the Lebanese Army's swoop on illegal residents in Beirut, diplomatic sources said.

This was the latest guarantee from the new President that the Army, which is supported by peacekeeping troops from the United States, France, and Italy, will respect rights of detainees.
