New Reagan political man vows takeover try on Hill

Edward Rollins, the new White House political director, says Republicans will take aim at 40 vulnerable House Democrats next year and 20 open seats in an all-out effort to win absolute control of Congress in 1982.

Mr. Rollins, who will replace Lyn Nofziger as President Reagan's top political adviser at the first of the year, also said he expects to solidify Republican control of the Senate by adding at least three or four seats to the GOP's current majority.

Rollins also said the White House will back the so-called ''gypsy moths,'' mostly moderate Republicans from the Northeast who have not always done President Reagan's bidding.
