Israeli diplomatic buildings hit in Vienna and Athens

Bombs were thrown Monday at Israel's embassy in Vienna and diplomatic mission in Athens in a spate of attacks on the Jewish state's diplomatic residences in Europe. Police said they had no clue as to who threw the bombs and no group has claimed responsibility, but the attack came a day after authorities expelled two alleged PLO members arrested at the Vienna airport for trying to smuggle weapons into Austria.

In earlier bombings, the Israeli diplomatic delegation building in Athens was slightly damaged and the Rome offices of Isr ael's airline El Al were attacked.
