Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

France and Kuwait called in a joint communique Monday for recognition of the Palestinian people's rights to determine their own future. The statement after two days of summit talks between French President Valery Giscard d'Estaing and Kuwait's ruler, Sheikh Jabir a al-Ahmad al-Sabah, also condemned the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan as unacceptable and called for the withdrawal of Soviet troops.
