Missing correspondents safe in northern town

Three British correspondents who had not been heard from since they left their hotel here on Friday reported Monday that they were safe and well in a town in northern Afghanistan.

Richard Balmforth of Reuters, Elizabeth Thurgood of the Guardian, and Marcus Eliason of the Associated Press had been delayed by bad weather and plan to return to Kabul by Sunday.
